Its over..

Alright everyone, I survived my 21 days with My Fit Foods. It was a great lifestyle change. I've lost 4 pounds, which doesn't seem like a lot but I know I lost inches. Wait until you see the picture below. I've also had more energy so that I could train and run my 5k.

I know the way my eating habits have changed with stick with me for a while. I feel so good, I don't even know how to explain it.

Are you guys ready for this? I hope you can see the change and improvement. READY, set, GO!

Thanks for everyone who followed me through this journey.. it was NOT easy.

Second to last post..

Hola.

Its been a while since I've posted anything.. Nothing's really changed. I haven't posted any pictures because I haven't had anything new to eat. Although, I've found out that the oat bake is my favorite breakfast by far. I will definitely eat it after my 21 days are up. I only have 2 more full days. I'm so excited. I know that it's changed my eating habits and I hope to be able to stick with them. I can't wait to post my after picture on Tuesday. The only thing that I would change about My Fit Foods, is that I would want to make some more lunches and snacks that don't have to be refrigerated or microwaved. It's way to hard works and traveling to have all my food microwaved. I'm so glad Ive stuck with this program. It has really helped and I can see a change. I'm not going to lie I've given up a little bit just because its so hard to always have my foods. But when I do cheat, I still try to make sure it's not horrible. Although, I do have a fro yo date with my roomie on Wednesday night and I'm going to be baddddd.

I'll post again on Tuesday for my last day. I hope I can make it my last two days :)

15th day

All I have to say is I was bad today.

Look at this picture.

We went to a luncheon for networking today and it was "state fair" themed.

The top picture on the left is a Lobster corn dog, tomato ginger jam, and truffle tarter sauce.
To the right is Shrimp Jambalaya Pot Pie, and a Fried Green Tomato.
The bottom left is our main course which was a turkey leg, grilled wild boar sausage, poblano mac-n-cheese, corn and jalapeño pickled slaw.
For dessert, on the bottom right, we had peaches and creme brûlée topped with soft whipped cream and a funnel cake biscotti.

I'm not eating for the next 12 days..

13th and 14th days

I have officially decided that our internet is GHETTO! That's why I haven't been blogging every night, but I feel like every other day is good too.

So yesterday I was NOT good at all. For breakfast I had Special K cereal, which isn't bad, but not on my diet. I can't remember what my first snack was yesterday, but my second snack was another protein cookie. For lunch I was out with my work so I had to stop to eat lunch, I had a grilled chicken greek salad. I feel like thats pretty good for cheating. All the vegetables were fresh from the farmers market. It was excellent.

My dinner is below. Salmon Cakes. It was really good. I feel like I could have salmon more, and I guess with my new life style I will have to.

For breakfast this morning, I had fit granola. It was yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and granola bars. It was so good. I had them change my breakfasts from meat, potatoes and eggs to more granola and oatmeal type meals. They're a lot better.
My first snack was cottage cheese and fruit. I love the cottage cheese.. I had a lot of fruit today, but it was a lot better then having vegetables all the time.
I didn't eat my lunch today because we were out running around and I forgot a fork, shame on me. But I ate my second snack instead. It was peanut butter and apples. Yum Yum!
My dinner was pear salmon. It was on a bed of fresh spinach with a pear relish salsa. It was good. Something different besides chicken and ground turkey. I like the change I'm finally getting out of the food.

My energy level has been great. I run 2 miles today. I'm almost to my goal of 3 by February. This just means I'll have time to get my speed up. Also, I only have a week left. PERFECT! I'm so excited.

The last thing is that I still haven't got on a scale to weigh myself, but I know that I'm losing inches. I can feel it around my waist. I guess we'll see what happens in the end.

11th and 12 days

I've been horrible at trying to remember to blog. But it's also the weekend and my schedule has been a little different. I've also been working really hard at not cheating. Its been successful.

Yesterday morning, I had Americano for lunch. Its tenderloin tips, eggs and potatoes. One of my favorite breakfast, also the first one I had ever ate. :)

I forgot to take a picture of my snack, but it was a perfect patty, which is steel cut oats, and eggs and blue berries. Its kind of like a bread but comes as a snack. Confusing to explain. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow.

For lunch, I had chicken enchiladas. SOOO yummy. I love enchiladas and it came with black beans.

Last night was my designated cheat night. I went to Champps with the family and had a blue cheese burger and onion rings. I got it without a bun and no bacon. I think I'm doing pretty well. I've learned how to eat better and not to stuff myself. Just make myself content.

TOday I went to play golf with my dad and I made sure I grabbed all my food from the fridge, but in the mist of not being awake yet, I forgot my breakfast. THerefore, I had to stop for breakfast. I had McDonalds Oatmeal with fruit and no brown sugar. Its only 260 calories, I believe thats the best choice I could make without it being too bad.

My first snack was a hummus bowl. With chicken. I couldn't eat the chicken. THeres way to much chicken in my life right now. EW!

My lunch was also chicken. "Hawaiian Chicken" I ate just the fruit and the rice out of it. I can't deal with all this.

I'll also admit that I didn't eat my second snack today. I wasn't hungry and my eating schedule was kind of messed up.

But for dinner, I'm having chili.. It sounds perfect for a rainy night like this.

I only have 9 more days left. and I'm really excited about my lifestyle change. I feel like I know how to eat better and still be happy when I'm done eating set meals. Although, I will tell you the first night I'm off my diet I'm having Frozen Yogurt with my roomie. Sorry Charlie.
Friday night, we went to Grapefest. It was so hard, all my friends were drinking and they had a RED VELET FUNNEL CAKE! Who can't pass that up? Well this girl did!

9th and 10th days

I forgot to blog last night. OOPPPSS!

Ive been feeling great, but I'm really starting to get sick of the food. At night its the worst. I just want to eat something else. All the chicken has the same seasoning on it so it all pretty much tastes the same. I'm half way there though, I'm not giving up now.

Yesterday, I ate migas for breakfast. BLAH! I'm just not a huge fan but I really try to eat as much as I can. I think i ate about half.

I had a new snack yesterday, it was fruit and cottage cheese. I enjoyed it a lot, i actually like cottage cheese compared to most people.

My second snack was a lunch bar. If you remember I ate one snack for dinner the night before so I had to eat a pretend snack for my second one yesterday.

For dinner last night, I had fit nuggets, which is my fit foods way of making chicken nuggets, with broccoli, carrots and a mustard dipping sauce. They were fantastic. Exactly what I needed, something different with the chicken.

Today for breakfast, I had the oat bake. It was so good. I actually ate all of it, which is something new for breakfast. It was delicious.

My first snack was Blueberry greek yogurt.
I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, but i had turkey meatloaf and mashed sweet potatoes. Good for a gloomy day, like today.
My second snack was a protein cookie. It was peanut butter flavor.

For dinner, I had this new salad. Its called gimme salad, and its basically chicken salad on top of a normal salad. It wasn't what I expected once again but I ate what I could.

Now it's time to head out to grapefest. Hopefully I'll be able to control myself. Oh by the way, I haven't lost any weight but I definitely feel better and I can tell my stomach is a flatter. Way to go fit foods!

8th day

Alright, let me just warn you now. I cheated a little bit today. I COULDN'T HELP IT! I'm sorry. But I think I made up for it at dinner.

For breakfast, I had Kale and Eggs again. I got in a argument with one of my co workers because "supposedly"Kale is a green. I did not know that. I don't see anything green about this plate?

My first snack was a protein shake. Alaways a good choice!

Alright, heres my CHEAT. But it wasn't as bad as it looks. We went to a bistro in Dallas and I had a turkey club. But I was smart about it. I took off the bread, I didn't get bacon on it, and I had fresh fruit for my side. So pretty much all I ate was cheese, turkey, lettuce and tomato. THere wasn't even a dressing on it.

For dinner, I had my yogurt that was actually suppose to be my snack for tomorrow. Smart move huh?

Today was a busy busy day, but I stayed feeling pretty good. I really think this lifestyle change is helping. Only 13 more days. I know I can do this. I'm seeing a difference in my body. My stomach looks flatter but I'm still not brave enough to jump on a scale!

7th day

Today was awesome. My job is getting a lot better, I'm actually kind of figuring out what I'm doing. I'm also starting to feel like I might be losing a little bit of weight, but I'm scared to get on a scale because I don't want it to disappoint me. Either way, I feel better and I'm going to make myself happy.

I've also figured out that drinking my protein shakes before bed makes me NOT hungry in the morning and really hard for me to eat breakfast. I went on my run tonight to train for my first 5K (hot chocolate run), and I'm not going to drink a shake and see if it's easier for me to eat in the morning.

This mornings breakfast was Egg Whites, Turkey Sausage and Sweet Potato Chunks. The potatoes were amazing. I ate most of them and a few bites of the other things. I couldn't make myself eat anymore.

My first snack was apples and peanut butter with grapes and a hard boiled egg. The peanut butter is all natural and it tastes great. I'm going to have to get some when I'm off of this diet.

For lunch, I had turkey spaghetti. It was the best lunch I've had so far. I ate it ALL. I would definitely choose to eat it again.

My second snack was a dark chocolate, mint protein bar. I always thought that peanut butter flavored things would beat everything else, but this was my favorite protein bar so far. The chocolate and the mint just hits the spot.

I had a salad for dinner. It was full of all kinds of vegetables, cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, artichoke hearts, and onions. It also had feta cheese and chicken.

I won't lie, I'm starting to hate chicken. But I make myself eat it because I'm a third done with this diet.

Tonight I also decided that my cheat meal this week will be Joe T. Garcia's and I'm so excited about it. I couldn't be happier for that night to come.

6th day

Today was the 6th day. Let me tell you, it is getting easier. I know that if I can make it through this week, I only have one week left. HECK YES! I'm staying motivated and my co-workers have been awesome.

This morning was really hard to eat. Just thinking about the food made me want to gag. Not because its not good, but because I had to eat with someone else was picking out for me. Luckly, after work I went to pick up more food for the next few days. Hopefully I'll get through it. This morning, I had lean ground turkey, rice and egg whites topped with pico and a little bit of cheese. Really good, not for me.

I was out on the road pretty much all day so I had my cookie for my first snack. OOPPS! :) It was so much better then the peanut butter cookie. I love these, they're awesome for your cravings.

For lunch, we stopped at the Fit Foods in North Dallas. I had the chicken buffalo wrap again. Amazing, just like the first time I had it. The workers up there are great too. They remembered me and were so nice.

For my afternoon snack, I had the chicken fruit bowl again. Just like yesterday, I didn't eat the chicken. Theres too much chicken for me.

This was a new dinner I had. It was shrimp and scallops on a bed of cucumber salad? and some kind of sauce. It was so good. I definitely made the day better because I didn't want to gag when I ate it.

I also went to the gym tonight and do my 30 minutes of cardio and weights. And I get to enjoy my vanilla protein shake.

5th day

Today was a lazy day for me, but I was sure that I got my work out in. I ran 1.5 miles, it doesn't sound like much, but thats the most I've ran in probably 6 months. I'm going to run a 5k with my room mate in February, so I'm almost half way there. I have to stay feeling good, eating good, and train hard.

Breakfast was amazing this morning. I was ready for something that actually resembled breakfast. It had eggs, sausage and roasted red potatoes.

My first snack was a chicken fruit bowl. It had grapefruit, grapes, orange, apples, walnuts, and chicken in it. I won't lie, I didn't eat the chicken. I've had so much chicken lately I couldn't eat any more.

After my snack I went and ran. I wasn't hungry so I skipped my lunch. Instead, I had a protein shake.

These are EAS advantEGE protein shakes. They control you're carbs you have and there is no sugar in it. I had the french vanilla today. SO MUCH better then the chocolate. I went to walmart and bought a case of them.

For my afternoon snack, I was privileged to have a COOKIE. It was peanut butter and it filled me up. I was so full after eating it. YUMMY YUMMY!

Dinner was chicken and roasted vegetables with a pesto dip. It was better then I thought it would be, but once again it was chicken.

Overall, today was great. I've had so much energy I don't know what to do with myself. I'm ready to make this my life style so I can continue to feel this way, but I'm also ready to finish my 21 days so I can have something that I actually want to eat.

4th day

Today was Saturday, which I think was harder then Friday because I had to try to stay good all day. It was hard but getting easier.. I had my cheat meal for dinner today and I think it helped to know that if I made it through the day, I would be able to have good food.

My blood sugar levels have been good, and I surprisingly feel amazing. This morning I got up and ran errands and got ready for my friends engagement party, without a nap. I felt a little tired but it was just the middle of the day blues.

For breakfast, I had Migas. It was a "mexican" dish with a mixture of potatoes, eggs, salsa, and corn tortillas. Not the best thing I've had but I ate as much as I could.

I didn't get a picture of my first snack today. But I had cherry greek yogurt. It was so delicious.

For lunch, I had cajun chicken. It was really good. I was excited to have some rice in my life, dirty rice, in fact. It was SOOOO spicy. I was sweating eating it but I made sure the job got done.

Heres the BAD, for dinner I was at my friends engagement party and they had fresh BBQ. I had brisket, a bite of smoked sausage and cole slaw. I didn't eat big portions so hopefully I didn't ruin anything. I've been trying really hard, and I'm not giving up. I think my body is finally getting used to this food and eating right. My followers should be proud of me, I didn't drink any alcohol. ONLY WATER!

I'm ready of the rest of the week. AND can't wait until next weekend to get my next cheat meal.. until tomorrow.. good night world! :)

3rd day

Today was A LOT better then yesterday.  I finally feel like myself again (after 2 days, not long at all) and I have more energy then I ever have. After work, I went to the gym and ran a mile and a half, lifted weights for my legs, and did 200 abs again. Like I've said before, I'm all in.  I really hope this works.

For breakfast, I had oatmeal. It was better then I thought it would be. But cold? I'm a little confused. Can someone help me out with that?

Today, I was on the road for work so I ate my snacks a little backwards. I had my protein bar at about 10:30 and it held me over for a while.

I forgot to take a picture of my lunch. I had a great co-worker that made me find a My Fit Foods so I could stick to my plan and still eat healthy. I tried the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Carrots. It was so good. Specially because it came with a special ranch dipping sauce. Just what I needed.

My afternoon snack was carrots, radish, celery, and orange tomatoes with another special sauce. It was perfect. I'll be honest though, i've never ate this many vegetables in my life and I almost had to choke them down. But I remembered this is for a good cause.

For dinner, I had Gumbo. Surprisingly I enjoyed it. It had chicken, shrimp, rice and vegetables in it. It was very spicy, usually I don't like spicy foods but this was good. I would definitely get it again.

So tonight is FRIDAY and its weird not going out with my friends or indulging into something thats bad for me. I had to go with a little cheat snack. I did this blog to keep me honest, so I'll be honest with all my followers. I have had half of a Hershey's dark chocolate bar, and half of a Crystal Light iced tea. I'm trying to stay positive about this because I feel completely guilty but the crystal light has only 5 calories and is caffeine and sugar free. Not too bad right?
This morning I tested my blog sugar and it was at 149, kind of high, but its steady.

2nd day

This morning was NOT fun. My body is going through detox like I'm on drugs. Guess that shows how much bad food I eat.

Since, I wasn't feeling well this morning, I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast, first snack and second snack. I also forgot to test my blood sugar earlier today.

Yesterday I tested my sugar levels and I forgot to write it in my blog. My before breakfast test was 149, before lunch it was 104 and before dinner it was 132. I will give this program credit, that is the lowest my blood sugar has been in as long as I can remember.

After dinner tonight, I tested it and it was at 134. I'm happy with the numbers I have been given, and I hope I can keep this up.

Today, was also the first day of my new job. I love it, the people are great. It might be hard to eat 5 meals a day but I'm going to do my best. I told my room mate tonight that this is the most dedicated to anything I've ever been. Hopefully, it will last 19 more days. It's not that long, right?

For breakfast, I had breakfast tacos. My first snack was apples and peanut butter. :)

For lunch, I had BBQ Chicken, Green Beans, and Mashed Red Potatoes. It was surprisingly yummy.

My second snack of the day was Strawberry Greek Yogurt.

For dinner, I had chili. It was really good, and spicy. Perfect for a cold night.

Tonight was a work out night too. I did 30 minutes of cardio, some weights for arms, and 200 abs.

Then, I came home to drink this delicious shake. It filled my craving for chocolate. Thank GOD!

The day before..

Tomorrow I'm starting a 21 day challenge with My Fit Foods. I'm going to be posting pictures of my meals and snacks each day. For 21 days, I'll be eating 5 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks. Each morning I start with a "cocktail" that will cleanse my liver and help the process of starting to break down fats.

Daily "Cocktail"

My goal for 21 days is to lose 10-15 pounds. I'm starting this blog to let you my friends and family take the adventure with me, and give me motivation to stay true to my commitment.

Before picture, 151.8 pounds

Only thing I'm worried about is not being able to have caffeine or alcohol for this time period, it's only 21 days right?

To learn more about their products go to www.myfitfoods.com, you can get a free consultation and the food you buy from them isn't much more than what you would spend at the grocery store on meals.

Well cheers to a new lifestyle, hopefully healthier, more fit with more energy. Wish me luck!
